Compare and contrast the hero's journey in Frost's poem with the journey of either Dante or Gabriel. The language need not be as formal as a paper, but you should include details and specific references to the texts. The suggested length is a page.

Even if the audio link doesn't immediately work, it should allow you to download the audio file into your computer. I hope this works for many of you because the audio version is well worth your time and effort!

Problems with the Selected Short version of "The Dead"

Apparently the iTunes audio of the short story was removed from iTunes over the weekend (AARGH!!). I do have a copy and we can listen to part of it in class. I'm also willing to loan it out or to try to make a copy for you if you bring a flash drive.

I HIGHLY recommend that you listen to the story. The story will come alive to you in ways that it won't if you read it on your own. Unfortunately, the dramatic reading of the story is currently only on iTunes and there is a small fee.
