Your homework is to read Act II for Monday, to view the Branagh version of Hamlet (available through Amazon for $2, if you are unable to join us on Thursday for the field trip).
Also, you are to write a one -two page close analysis of Hamlet's soliloquy in Act I. The purpose of the analysis is to answer the following question, "Who is Hamlet and what is his state of mind as the play opens?"
Remember, when doing a close analysis you will want to employ the "notice and focus" techniques that we have used in class before you write. I will upload the notice and focus analysis sheet to jog your memory.
