"Who's there?"

Shakepeare's "problem play" begins with the question "Who's there?" Our study of Hamlet will begin  on Wednesday or Thursday depending upon your section. Take a moment to watch the trailer and get a taste for what's to be (or not to be)...sorry, couldn't resist :)    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-rd74Gniz-A   Here's an overview of the week ahead!

  • Second block--Monday's class will review synthesis paragraphs and do some peer review. Your sampling paper will be due on Friday to allow you a bit more time to revise and improve your sythesis paragraphs.  On Wednesday you will work on your sampling paper in class. On Friday we begin our study of Hamlet. I will collect Heart of Darkness books on Friday. Please bring your book with you! On February 14, Mr. Lester and I are sponsoring a in school field trip for the showing of Kenneth Branagh's masterful version of Hamlet. We're planning for pizza and popcorn :)

  • First block-- On Tuesday's class you will have time to work on your sampling paper. Please remember that Tuesday is a shortened student day. Come prepared to work on your paper. On Thursday your sampling paper is due; please bring your Heart of Darkness book to class. On Thursday we will also begin our study of Hamlet by combining Mr. Lester's SUPA class and our AP class in the Little Theater. Mr. Lester and I are really excited about joining our respective classes for this lesson. Mr. Lester and I are arranging for an in school field trip on February 14, for the full length showing of Kenneth Branagh's masterful version of Shakespeare's play.
